Developing Christ-like Leaders
Oaks of Righteousness Leadership Retreats
Knowing the great need in our country for Christian leaders with integrity, Hidden Acres is purposeful in helping train and mold our campers and staff in traits of Christian leadership. This is why Hidden Acres holds Servant-Leader Retreats for middle schoolers twice a year. Our Oak of Righteousness are held in the Spring and Fall, specializing in a retreat for just girls and one for just boys..
This is also why we have week long training sessions for our camp staff and continual training throughout the summer.
We want middle schoolers to receive the kind of training that would allow them to mature in the traits and qualities of a good camp counselor when they enter their high school years.
We are inviting you to experience a new kind of retreat... A weekend that will teach you how to serve by serving, teach you about the gospel of love by helping you share it, and teach you about leadership by example. You will also meet some pretty cool counselors who will encourage you and be your friend.
During Middle School Leadership Retreat: Oaks of Righteousness Retreat middle schoolers will help lead a day camps for under-privileged children from inner-city Dallas. During the weekend they will learn about leadership and get to practice by helping lead the day campers trough various activities on Saturday. The retreat begins on Friday evening and ends on Saturday evening.
High school students are encouraged to attend as mentor leaders for the Middle School and day campers. They must register and be accepted to come by contacting the director of the retreat.
We pray that along with leadership training our training will produce true disciples of Christ who will make an impact in the world and for God’s kingdom
