OAKS Leadership Program
OAKS is a unique, immersive day program devoted to outdoor exploration, servant leadership, and character development. Meeting for four weeks each Fall and Spring, OAKS provides a rich learning experience rooted in nature study, community, and hands-on activities.
The program takes place on Tuesdays from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and includes:
A Feast of Beauty & Virtue
Our OAKS curriculum weaves together nature, virtue, and servant leadership, offering students a feast of living ideas that extend beyond the classroom. Parents receive a resource packet with discussion points and activities to help deepen their child’s learning and character growth at home.

Schedule Overview
Each day begins with Assembly Time, where all families and age groups gather together. During this time, we are introduced to the semester’s virtue through songs, stories, Scripture, and shared reflection.
K–6th Grade (The Oaks): Their day includes nature walks and journaling, character-building class time, lunch, and recreational activities.
7th–12th Grade (The Groves): Older students dive into the Virtue Unit Study through discussion and application, then serve around camp through service projects. After lunch, they step into leadership by prepping and assisting with camp activities for the younger students.
After-Lunch Camp Activities
Every session concludes with fun, hands-on camp activities that vary by season:
Fall: Swimming, Archery, Bazooka Ball, Lake Activities
Spring: Archery, Bazooka Ball, Lake Activities, Service Projects
Activity Teams
During activity time, families are divided into four teams:
Team Cedars
Team Oaks
Team Pines
Team Magnolias
This team structure helps foster community & cooperation and make our activities run better with smaller groups.
OAKS is more than a program—it’s a space where children grow in wonder, resilience, and Christ-centered leadership through creation and community.
““They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.” ”
